In 1987, Melissa Thoma had a bad day at work. That bad day however, managed to pave the way for a pretty good decision — the one that lead to Thoma Thoma. At the time, Melissa was working as an art director at a weekly business publication. Husband Martin was working as a copywriter at longtime Little Rock agency Stone Ward.
After expressing her frustration with her current job, the couple did some soul searching and decided to start their own agency. So Melissa, then seven months pregnant, and Martin set up shop in their living room and embarked on the journey of running Thoma Thoma.
During the nearly 30 years since they launched the firm, their family grew to four and the agency has grown into one of the most respected brand marketing firms in the region. Despite constant change, in an industry renowned for it, Martin and Melissa are still unwavering in their passion to help great brands do great things.
